We provide Support Brokerage services to children and adults participating in OPWDD Self-Direction. Our role is to educate, guide, and empower participants and their designees as they develop, implement, and manage individualized Self-Direction budgets while working toward meaningful, person-centered goals.
We explain Self-Direction in clear, accessible language and help participants and families understand available services, safeguards, responsibilities, and the roles of each Circle of Support member.
We develop initial Self-Direction budgets and budget amendments based on the participant’s Life Plan, assessed needs, preferences, valued outcomes, and available funding.
We review expenditure reports, monitor balances and service utilization, and help identify when reallocations, reimbursements, or budget amendments may be needed.
We collaborate with participants, families, Care Managers, Fiscal Intermediaries, providers, and other Circle of Support members to address barriers and support successful implementation of the Self-Direction plan.
We support children and adults through start-up and ongoing implementation. Bilingual English and Spanish services, remote support, and flexible evening and weekend scheduling are available.
We help develop practical services and strategies that reflect each participant’s strengths, needs, preferences, and goals while promoting independence, safety, choice, and community participation.
We are registered with multiple Fiscal Intermediaries, allowing us to support participants across a wide range of OPWDD Self-Direction programs and service arrangements.
