Inclusive Special Education Services

 We review your child's IEP, 504-Plan, Behavior Intervention Plan, evaluations,  progress reports, transition plan, and any other record applicable to your child's educational needs.   We will have a meeting with  you to discuss findings of your child's educational records and the recommended steps. 

After all reviews, evaluations, record review we will plan and strategize to request changes to your child's educational plan.  We will request independent evaluations as needed, participate in IEP and 504- plan meetings,  prepare parents for meetings with the school based support team to obtain appropriate student placement.  We will support you seeking a NYS Approved Private School Placement when all record reviews indicate this is the appropriate course of action. 

We believe that parents play a critical role in their child's education. Our team works with parents to help them understand their child's rights, navigate the special education system, and advocate for their child's needs.

Starting Point Services does not provide legal services. Starting Point Services will support families seekig mediation and fair hearing on  a case by case basis if appopriate.   We will help you prepare a packet and support you through mediation and fair hearing, however parents have the right to seek the legal advice of a Special Education Attorney.   Starting Point Services does not promise any outcome, however  Advocacy services are provided to successfuly support children to have the appropriate educational supports that are individualized and supportive of their learning needs.
