Ron Kort, New York State Attorney

 Ron is an Independent Support Broker and a licensed New York State attorney specializing in disability discrimination and civil rights.

As a person with a disability and a Self-Direction participant, Ron brings valuable lived experience to his work. Self-Directed Services enabled him to attend law school and live independently with the assistance of support staff.

Ron is committed to empowering people with developmental disabilities to navigate Self-Direction, advocate for needed benefits and supports, access available resources, understand their options, and pursue fulfilling and independent lives.
